Hello and welcome to the LPN experience, we are very excited to share our journey and ideas with you! It was as support workers on a child psychiatric unit that we met and realised our common interests. Even at this early stage of our careers our primary goal aligned; support young people and families experiencing mental health difficulties, to the best of our ability. This is the heart of LPN. Our careers have advanced in parallel, specialising in education and clinical psychology, but this goal has remained the same. We hope this website can be a forum for parents to support each-other, and seek advice.

I am currently completing my doctorate in clinical psychology, having very recently finished my masters in the same subject. My interest is cognitive behaviour therapy for children and young people, and I have conducted research as well as practice in this field. As a former Child and young person’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) I am practiced in assessing, supporting and teaching techniques for those experiencing difficulties, particularly anxiety, depression and behaviour problems.
